We
will launch from Tacoma's, Thea Foss Park at the edge of
the Tacoma Harbor. Geologist
and amateur historian, Darrell Sofield will point out
interesting features of the bay, the Tacoma Fault, the
rich maritime history, and the modern working port.
You will likely see seals, tidal plants, shore birds and
HUGE ships up to 1000 feet long.

The
group will paddle together in double kayaks. No
experience is necessary. Bring your GPS along.
Fee 85$ per person. Fee
includes kayak rental, safety equipment, and a bag lunch.
Transportation to Thea Foss Park is not included, we will
carpool or walk. 12-5:30 pm Friday September
14th. The minimum is eight,
max of 20 people so register early!! |
